REALTORĀ® Candidate Endorsements

Candidates seeking the endorsement of the Snohomish County-Camano Association of REALTORS® must complete and submit a written questionnaire for the current election cycle.

Candidate Verification

We are asking all 2018 candidates to participate in a free self-authorized background check, much like you do when you apply for a job or to volunteer at your favorite non-profit. will provide this report to our Candidate Evaluation Committee to be used in conjunction with your questionnaire. The process is controlled by you the candidate from start to finish, and no information is published or shared with the Candidate Evaluation Committee or CandidateVerification without your permission. Here are some frequently asked questions about the process:

How do I get a 'free' CandidateVerification?
CandidateVerification provides candidates with online sign-up links from our strategic partner and background screening company, To get the link, please sign-up at You will then receive an email with the sign-up link from Talentwise, subject header: REQUEST FOR PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENING -- CANDIDATE VERIFICATION. The self-authorized online application takes between 10 and 15 minutes to complete.

What’s covered in the self-authorized background check?
• Federal/County Criminal Records Search (10-year address history)
• Federal/County Civil Records Search (10-year address history)
• Employment history Verification
• Professional credential Verification (e.g. CPA)
• Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma Verification
• National Sex Offender Registry Search
• Military Records Verification (requires DD214)

What information do I need to supply to complete my verification?
In addition to the resume items you submit for verification (employment, education, professional credentials, and military service), you will be asked to supply your Social Security number and Date of Birth to a secure site. These unique identifiers are the only way the employment screening company can accurately match your record.

How long does it take to complete my verification? The process typically takes 3-5 business days.

Is there is private view of the information? Yes, prior to publication, candidates receive a copy of the results.

Is there dispute resolution?
Yes, there is a dispute resolution process and any information deemed incorrect will be reviewed and corrected, as necessary. This process usually takes another week to complete.
