All courses below fulfill the REALTORĀ® Code of Ethics Training Requirement
1. FREE Course for Existing Members
Take the Existing Member Course
- Customizable learning experience
- No final exam, members must pass module quizzes
- Specialized content for residential, commercial, and appraiser practitioners
- Not eligible for CE credits
- NOTE: This course is offered by the Center for REALTOR® Development. You may need to create a new account for this website; to do so, click on the "new registration" button after accessing the course.
2. FREE Course for New Members
- Take this free course if you are a new member to satisfy new member Code of Ethics training
3. OnlineED Code of Ethics:
Once you completed this course, you must email your certificate to education@sccar.org to update your profile with the REALTOR® Associations.
- This course offers an estimated 3 credit hours of CE for $19.00.
- SCCAR members get 15% off, costing only $16.15.
- This continuing education ethics course is required for NAR members.
- Learn standards of ethical conduct with this Washington real estate ethics course.
4. The CE Shop Code of Ethics
Once you completed this course, you must email your certificate to education@sccar.org to update your profile with the REALTOR® Associations.
- This course offers an estimated 3 credit hours of CE for $29.00.
- Revised in January 2022 and designed to meet NAR Cycle 7 requirements.

About the Training Requirement
REALTORS® are required to complete ethics training of no less than 2 hours & 30 minutes of instructional time within three-year cycles. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®.
The current three-year cycle will end December 31, 2024.
Training may be completed through local REALTOR® associations or through another method, such as home study, correspondence, classroom courses, or online courses.

Cycle 7: 1/1/2022 - 12/31/2024
- If COE says, "NOT MET," this means you need to take your COE sometime before 12/31/2024.
- COE is every 3 years based off the calendar year, NOT your license renewal OR when you took it last.
