Training Requirement

REALTORS® are required to complete ethics training of no less than 2 hours & 30 minutes of instructional time within three-year cycles. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®.

  • All REALTORS® must complete REALTOR® Code of Ethics (COE) training every three years to maintain their REALTOR® membership.
  • The current three year period ends December 31, 2024.
  • New REALTORS® must complete the training within one year of membership.

Training may be completed through local REALTOR® associations or through another method, such as home study, correspondence, classroom courses, or online courses.

Don’t forget to fulfill your Code of Ethics Training Requirement by Dec. 31st! As required for REALTOR® membership, all REALTORS® must complete at least 2.5 hours of ethics training that meets specific learning objectives and criteria.

The current cycle deadline is Dec. 31, 2024. Why wait?
